Chapter 0365 "Fine, but it's waiters and chefs that have been approved only.' "What about him?" I gesture my head to the man standing at mine and Josie's table. On closer inspection he doesn't even have menus in his hand.
She turns, her eyes meeting mine...a look upon them that I didn't need a mind-link with her to understand. She was uncomfortable.
I could fucking curse myself...this was a fucking bad idea. She had only shifted for the first ttoday...why did I let Hector talkinto coming here instead of a simple bike ride.
Here, she could very easily shift and expose our existence in this very restaurant. She has self discipline to rival the strongest of shifters, even on her first day...but even the strongest would struggle with the heightened senses and the noise in here. Her wolf must be on edge.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtI move, pushing through the crowd, ignoring the protests as I hear the warriors behinddoing the sthing in order to get to their pack princess. I'm on him in seconds, an older male who reeks of alcohol. I push him by the shoulder away from her and towards the wall, the Dark Phantom pack warriors circling us, covering us from the eyes of the human.
"Who the fuck are you?" I roar out. Alcohol or not, I could smell that he was a werewolf. Although his scent isn't one I have picked up on before.
"Easy boy." A growl escapes his lips as he looks down at my hand now gripping on his shirt. His words do little to calm my wolf, who already wanted to rip his head off for daring to go near my mate.
"I was just talking to the female..." His eyes watch to the side ofas I sense Josie standing up and hold on to my arm, trying to calm my growing anger.
"This female so happens to be my mate." "Ah that's interesting, I thought you didn't have a wolf?" His eyes are pinned on her as I feel her tense next to me. Who the fuck was this man. I was three seconds away from beating the shit out of him.
"Well I do now...and you are?" There's a harshness to her tone, something that remindedof Kaia.
"Someone that means you no harm. A member of the Varon alpha family are never in the city nowadays....but by chance you walked in tonight. I couldn't resist." "You couldn't resist?" I sarcastically reply, looking to my side to see Alpha Jude's warriors heading in our direction. Again, we were attracting unwanted attention by the usual revellers.
"You've been well guarded, as have your brothers. I take it you're the one that trained them?" He looks atwith an arrogant look in this eye, any part ofthat thought he was drunk has now woken up. This man must just consalcohol like it is water. He's stone cold sober now as he stares back into my threatening eyes.
"You're the alpha trainer aren't you?" He repeats, a smirk curling up in the corner of his mouth.
"What's it to you." I was ready to get her out of here. There was nothing this male said that would wantto stay a second longer. The Dark Phantom pack warriors can clean up this shit, I just wanted to get Josie back home.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm"I take an interest in knowing who has trained my nephews." "Nephews?" Josie gasps next to me, my eyes turning to the lead warrior whose own eyes are wide with shock until he kicks into action, muttering a swear word under his breath.
The warriors move with precision, pushing past both Josie and I, grabbing the male by his throat and pushing him through the crowd and towards the kitchen area. Where the double doors are slammed shut, and the diner's eyes are back on us.
"We'll make sure a vehicle is following you, we will aid our friends if they need us." One of the warriors from Alpha Jude's pack calmly offers, not making any attempt to check on the situation in the kitchen.
I mean this was his turf, but he seemed happy to let the Dark Phantom warriors kick about on it.
"Who is he?" Josie asks, as she om remains stood next to me. "That is Alpha Than Sable of the Amber Deserts pack."
