"Young man, you are a talented cultivator indeed. Few could have acquired powers such as yours at such an early age.

| don't think all those abilities of yours should go to waste.

I'll give you one chance. | can take you in as my disciple.

You can serve under my command and will get special attention and training from me. If you agree, you have a bright future ahead

of you," Donovan offered.

He appreciated Austin's talent.

"What the hell ?!

Our suprgrandmaster wants to take in this brat as his disciple?

How could he be so lucky?"

The eight governing gods of the Blade Cosmos were shaken with jealousy at the offer. A chance to be Donovan's disciple was

highly prestigious.

Everyone was aware of Donovan's capabilities and the power that he held.

In addition to the Blade Cosmos, the man was also in charge of two other supruniverses.

Not only was he in charge of three supruniverses already,

but his troops were attacking several other supruniverses as they spoke.

Donovan was a strict and highly choosy person. He seldom accepted disciples into his ranks.

Rumor had it there was only one disciple under him; a girl of immense talents who always kept him company.

But now, in front of their eyes, he was ready to take Austin in as his disciple. Jealousy was natural response to this prestigious offer.

Envy was a close second.

"Huh?

You wantto be your disciple?"

Even Austin was surprised. However, that shock on his face immediately resolved into his usual arrogance.

"Thank you, old man.

But | don't think you are qualified to be my master.

Do the smart thing; take your men and leave Sword Cosmos alone.

Otherwise, they won't be able to get out of here alive,"

Austin warned with a defiant sneer.

"Brat, how dare you turn down my offer and threaten me?"

Donovan's eyes began sparking with anger.

"Few people have the balls to refuse me.

Well congratulations!" Donovan said sarcastically, "You have successfully got on my nerves.

| hope you know that there are hundreds of young, talented cultivators all over the universe and many of them die young.

Because sure as the sun is bright, your arrogance will get you killed!"

Donovan stressed every syllable as his gaze fixed itself on Austin.

Few people would have refused his offer like that. Austin's defiance and arrogance had embarrassed him and he had now decided

to take him out.

"Old man, | don't think you can take my life.

Stop bluffing. You can't scare me,"

Austin mocked.

However, the instant he finished his sentence, he received a message from Emmet.

"Master, things don't look good. The situation is not in our favor.

The troops of the Blade Cosmos have formed a powerful battle array and are now attacking with all their might.

We are no match for them.

If things go on like this for much longer, | am afraid we'll suffer a heavy loss."

Austin got the bad news through spiritual sense.

Hearing that, he couldn't help furrowing his eyebrows and immediately unleashed his spiritual sense to perceive what was going on

outside the headquarters.

He found that Emmet was telling the truth and a fierce battle was raging outside.

A battle which, by the looks of it, was gradually tipping in the opponent's favor.

The army of the Sword Cosmos was at a disadvantage.

The troops of the Blade Cosmos had formed several hundred groups, each of which consisted of ten thousand cultivators. These

groups had formed individual battle arrays and then attached them with everyone else's arrays.

Battle arrays formed like this were incredibly powerful.

People were dying every second. The ten thousand blade cultivators in each group had unleashed their full strength, forming a

gigantic blade.

This blade had unstoppable potential and power.

Faced with a few hundred of such battle arrays, the cultivators of the Sword Cosmos were losing their ground and forced to

gradually step back.

As twent by, an increasing number of creatures from the Sword Cosmos were killed or heavily injured.

Emmet was telling the truth. If things went on for too long, they would suffer heavy casualties.

Moreover, the Blade Cosmos had a larger number of governing gods compared the Sword Cosmos,

and to make things worse, they were more powerful than their counterparts in the Sword Cosmos.

As a result, the governing gods of the Sword Cosmos could barely defend themselves.

It was evident that the Blade Cosmos had the upper hand in this battle.

"Con, guys!

We are going to conquer the Sword Cosmos!"

"You weaklings. Don't be so foolish. It is in your best interest to surrender right now.

If you continue to fight, you'll all die!"

The longer they fought, the more excited the troops of the Blade Cosmos became. With each soldier that fell in the opponent's

team, the army of the Blade Cosmos charged forwards with higher spirits.

"Damn it! We are no match for them!"

"Their battle arrays are too powerful.

We can't hold on much longer!"

The troops of the Sword Cosmos were beginning to lose hope.

'It looks like | need to end this as quickly as possible.

Otherwise, our defeat is imminent,’

Austin thought to himself.

"Ha-ha! Brat! My army is winning the battle with each passing second. Your men are almost completely spent.

Make no mistake, we will take the Sword Cosmos today.

| bet you regret refusing our offer now.

If you hadn't been so rash and started off this battle, there's a chance you might have survived it. But all that's in the past, huh?" a

governing god of the Blade Cosmos said with a smirk as he looked at Austin.

"Good news, sir!

Victory is ours. The entire Sword Cosmos will be our territory soon,"

another governing god told Donovan excitedly.

"Boy, suffering a death at my hand will be the only honor you get today," Donovan said impassively.

He was floating above the altar.

As soon as those words left his mouth,

he dashed forward.

His black hair was dancing in the rush of the wind that hit his face.

There was a blur in the air as his hands expertly drew out scomplicated gestures, and hundreds of millions of blade auras

appeared in front of him.

Donovan was already aware of Austin's strength and therefore, he was fighting without reserve.

He had launched an all-out attack.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

As the blade auras progressed towards their target, nine golden blades cout of Donovan's body and formed an array which

flew towards Austin's head.

Austin didn't dare to be careless either. He waved his sword instantly to resist the incoming blow with all his might.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

Both parties fought intensely with constantly increasing speed. Series of metallic clangs turned into a cacophony of metal on metal

as their fighting speed reached a crescendo.

Whilst they were busy, Donovan launched another attack.

Endless runes related to blade skills began to glow on the surface of his body.

"Go to hell, you little bastard!" he shouted.

The golden runes emerged from his body and began whooshing around Austin. There was an aura of blood about Donovan that

was constantly pressuring Austin into submission.

"Why so fierce, old man? Are you trying to scare me? Save it," Austin responded with an undaunted sneer.

He brandished his sword at his opponent.

Clang!

The two sides collided once more.

Donovan was a highly formidable foe and Austin was having trouble.

Such was his power that even his avatar could hold its ground against Austin.

If Austin were fighting an ordinary governing god, he would have prevailed over his opponent in just a couple of moves.

"Brat, | am going to end you!" Donovan roared, seething with fury.

The nine blades he'd conjured up grew so large that they filled the void, and then slashed at Austin simultaneously. There was a

giant splash and the void collapsed around the battle-engaged duo.

"Don't talk big!" Austin snapped back.

The great cosmos force gushed out his body and as he waved his sword, hundreds of millions of beams of sword radiance

appeared, gushing forth like a mighty river.

Boom!

The duo collided again.

Swish! Swish! Swish

The nine golden blades moved towards each other and formed a mysterious array which reached Austin in a split second.

This was a trick of spatial law. However, Donovan wasn't the only one proficient in that.

"Neat little trick! Unfortunately for you, | can use the spatial law to my advantage too." Austin laughed defiantly.

He activated the Shadowless Movement and unleashed all kinds of laws related to speed. With so many skills activated

simultaneously, it was hard to capture his movements as he stepped back. In no tat all, he dodged the attack of the nine

blades.

"How is that even possible? This guy is holding out against our suprgrandmaster and actually seems to be tied against him!"

The governing gods of the Blade Cosmos were so shocked at the idea that their eyes almost popped out of their sockets.

‘Everyone knows that even a governing god can't defeat this avatar of Donovan, even though it is only an avatar.

How is this young man able to fight it and still stand his ground?’ the governing gods kept on wondering.

'This Donovan guy is proving a hell of an opponent!

Even a single one of his avatars carries such frightening power which is stronger than most ordinary governing gods.

ovan's avatar.
